About me!
I was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and earned a BA in philosophy and English & American literature from New York University in 2018. There, I also served as editor-in-chief of the Minetta Review, NYU’s oldest literary magazine. I then earned an MFA in creative writing (specializing in poetry) at Rutgers University—Newark. Now, I am a PhD student in English at the University of Texas at Austin, where I currently teach undergraduate courses, and most recently earned an MA and passed my field exams.
I have a range of interests, inclusive of but expanding beyond what’s listed on the home page. A slightly more complete (but still incomplete) list includes:
- Post-1945 American literature
- Speculative fiction, especially science fiction
- Genre theory
- Game studies
- Queer theory and LGBT+ studies
- Disability studies
- Affect theory
